Is now too early to send out holiday greeting cards?

My husband and I don't want our cards to be burried under hundreds of cards during the peak seaon around mid December. However, I am concerned now might be a bit too early. What do you think? Thanks.

Is now too early to send out holiday greeting cards?
I like to get mine done early, too. I've only got about another box to fill out!! However, I worry about getting them there TOO early.

I send mine out the day after Thanksgiving.
Reply:Usually the week after Thanksgiving is good.
Reply:No it's not too early. Where is mine by the way?
Reply:now is too early. send them late november. or if you have people overseas to send to now is ok, but get them done so that they are ready to post cos it gets busier later!
Reply:If you send your cards before the rush You will be remembered more
Reply:What holiday?

Do you mean Christmas or New Year?
Reply:Usually send mine out a few days after thanksgiving then they arrive early enough not to be piled under a stack of them
Reply:never to early to wish happiness!!
Reply:Only if your local postal service is truly snail mail. I think anyone getting a Christmas card in early November would probably be annoyed with you, so you're probably better off waiting until December.
Reply:Its not too early, i don't think but some people might wounder why you are sending it out now, i would send it out in a couple more weeks.
Reply:Yes, way too early, it is a few weeks before Thanksgiving.
Reply:Yes, it is way too early. You have to wait until after Thanksgiving at least.
Reply:I think its too early. Mail them the day before Thanksgiving because the day after Thanksgiving is when ppl start thinking abt Christmas.
Reply:Agreed. After Thanksgiving. It's all too early now as it is in the malls and the commercials. Just after Thanksgiving will be sure they arrive, be certain that not all of the other cards have arrived yet, and still not seem out of place. I am waiting to mail mine until then as well.
Reply:Wait until the day after Thanksgiving.
Reply:You can always write them out now..

If they are for Thanksgiving I would send them out a week prior. For Christmas a couple of weeks prior...some people like to hang them up to show them off:)
Reply:why not write, stamo em now, and send them out the 1st of dec
Reply:i send mine before valentines day or you could make your cards thanks giving cards
Reply:Yours will be buried if you mail them out this early..... I know that we always enjoy getting that first Christmas card from our cousin usually the day after Thanksgiving. I think he and his wife must have them all ready to mail out the day before Thanksgiving. His is the first and the best, as Thanksgiving is over and we are then ready for Christmas, and his card brings that warm Christmas spirit we are looking for after Thanksgiving. So if you don't want your card buried, but want it to be remembered as special, try to have it be delivered Thanksgiving weekend. Happy Holidays.
Reply:Its too early. Instead of being burried, they won't be around at Christmas. People will get them ahead of the season and they will either get mis-placed or tossed. Wait until at least December 1st.
Reply:I DON'T THINK U SHOULD WASTE UR TIME IN SENDING CARDS AT ALL
Reply:Too early yet!

Post last week off November!
Reply:send them a week befor thanksgiving
Reply:I agree with you, UNLESS you're sending some overseas. Check with the post office regarding deadlines. Regular mail, I would try to have everything mailed by the end of the first week of December to be safe ( that's always my goal, although I don't always make it. Ha)!
Reply:I don't think it's too early to get STARTED,

I do all my cards and get them ready to go by the 2nd week of Nov. then mail them all out in one huge batch the Monday after Thanksgiving. There are too many other things happening once December hits, we get the cards out 1st thing!

I say go for the Monday after Thanksgiving!
Reply:ya wait- a little
Reply:right now is way too early for christmas...what you can do, and what we do during such festive seasons, is to mail them atleast 10-14 days before the actual holiday..for eg if you need to send christmas cards, have them reasy to be posted atleast by 10-12th december..and for that you'll need atleast 1-2 days time (to buy stamps, cards, write addresses etc)...i assume u have the postal addresses of all ur friends and relatives..if not....start emailing them straight away to ask the addresses..hope that helps
Reply:I think you should send it beginning of dec. However, i dont believe in manually handwriting cards anymore. I have been using a system my friend introduced me to a year ago to do all my card sending. I actually already did my holiday cards and they will get sent out on Dec 3rd automatically for me. (the system allows me to purchase my own handwritten font and post date cards and send them to as many people as i want - with one click of a button) Here is her website. Check it out it may save you time and money and also hand cramps!
Reply:Yes, you usually send Christmas cards out after Thanksgiving. If I got one any earlier, I would misplace it before I was ready to display the rest of the ones I will receive.
Reply:I think it is kind of early. It takes 2-3 days for cards to be delivered. I would send them right after Thanksgiving that way you'll still make it before the mid December.
Reply:It's acceptable to start sending them the day after Thanksgiving. It's way to early right now.
