How can I make my own season's greeting cards for Christmas? Can you give me some ideas?

You can start by cutting out the pictures off of old cards that you were going to throw out anyways. You could make some homemade paper http://www.pioneerthinking.com/makingpap... or buy some from the store. Make sure its of a heavier weight though. Then you can cut the page to the size card you want, then you can cut small squares, rectangles, circles, trees, snowflakes, stars, or whatever you can imagine glue that to the front, then glue a picture (even photos of you or your taking, or magazine pictures), then add ribbons, bows, buttons, glitter whatever you want you are only limited by your imagination. Then you could also make your own envelopes, again you want it out of heavier paper, even wallpaper (those sample wallpaper books are brimming with possibilities) http://www.ehow.com/how_11516_make-envel... or http://www.make-stuff.com/projects/wallp... Happy Card Making!!! :)

This is a great way to incorporate some photos!!! You can personalize each card with a pic that might hold special meaning...even a childhood photo of you and ther person you are sending to. Have fun and be as creative as you want!
Reply:You could go to the craft store, get some really cool paper, ink stamps, ribbon, markers and scissors that cut decorative edges...

Or you can get a computer program like Create-a-card and use the templates.

Or, if you have MS Word or Publish on your computer, microsoft.com has some templates on their website you can use for cards...
Reply:My theme this year was snowflakes. I found some metallic ones and put 3 to 5 on colored cardstock (red, green, etc) and then a metallic Merry Christmas. But this is not the cheap route.

My idea for next year is Christmas trees. With decorative scissors, cut a piece of paper into a tree. On a square piece, make one snip up one side and another snip up the other side going to a point. Cheap and easy to make. You could also glue tiny stars, or brads for tree decorations or leave them plain. Or draw on garland strings, etc. Or dabs of glue and add glitter.

If you have templates, you can cut out stars, gingerbread men, snowmen, etc.
Reply:take charts draw the borders and make easy paintings or buy the stick pictures and stick it and search for the words and write in a design manner
Reply:I purchased a rubber stamp set that was Christmas penguins. Walmart has greeting cards in the photo department. They are made for putting 4 x 6 photos in the front of the card. They had one with penguins around the frame. I layered dark blue, light blue and white cardstock and rubber stamped three penguins holding J O Y letters. I colored it like the card. I inserted it into the photo slot. I stamped a penguin holding a sign that says "Don't Peek" on the back of the envelope. It looks quite nice. They have other designs too. I got poinsettias and snowflakes too. It was quick and make a very elaborate card. In the past I've used stickers to make the card to put into the photo slot. That came out nice too.
Reply:TAKE 1 WHITE PAPER AND DO PAINTING THAT THE BEST GREETING
Reply:go to the craft store.get some supply to make your card, make it with color you think that person would like , decorate it with nice stuff on it , and write something nice that would make people smile when they read it ^-^
