I received my greeting cards by Fur of the Anna from RedBubble today. What is the very heavyweight paper used?

The paper was of a very surprising quality. Thick and supple. Almost like the old leather postcards of decades ago.

Shipping was only 2.12 USD from Australia.

Is the paper used in the RedBubble cards available to photographers?

Their description says:

"Greeting Cards are printed on our Durst Theta, bonded to high quality 200 gsm card for the best internal writing surface, creased and packed with an envelope ready to write on, give away or just admire."

I have no idea what Durst Theta is, but I'd like to buy some for my own use...

Oh. The Durst Theta is a printer that I will definitely NOT be using at home.

SO - what's a 200 gsm card?
Reply:I was jus in Staples a couple of hours ago and they didn't have anything comparable to this. MAYBE some of the wedding invitation sets were a similar weight, but then you get all the other stuff that goes with it. It is not photo paper on top, either. Report Abuse

Reply:Make that "just."

I'm tempted to upload some of my own stuff to RedBubble just so I can buy it for my own use. After I get the % back from my own sale, they'd cost about $2.20 each. (see more) Report Abuse

Reply:I have not tried Mpix notes, though. Maybe I'll ask a question to see if anyone has... Report Abuse

Reply:It really is like leather. I would love to have a few sheets of it to play around with. I suppose one might contact Redbubble and ask about it.
Reply:now i have a reason to order some cards and find out the paper, my lovely and talented wife will send me on a "MISSION FROM GOD" to find out...

wish me luck...
Reply:They charged me $2.12 shipping and I am IN Australia.. sheesh !
