Do you like pop up greeting cards?

When you go to Hallmark, Walgreens or anywhere to buy a greeting card? Are you more attracted to pop up greeting cards? Would you prefer a pop up card over a regular card? or do you think pop up cards are just for kids?

Do you like pop up greeting cards?
Don't care really. Sometimes it's really cute but I find it really childish. No "popping" (looks like 'pooping', doesn't it?) has ever brought my mood up so high as a really thought-provoking phrase or some really funny words. And I don't mean anything like 'kilbyurokinie', whatever that means, I mean that good humor will beat any pop up. Sometimes a good music is nice too - as long as it's not too catchy that you can't get it out of your head for the rest of the week.

A site I've used in the past ...

Hope that helps.
Reply:I love those kind of cards (and those kid books too)! You don't see too many of them these days. Yes, I would definately prefer those pop-up cards than a regular card.

Oh, and I also keep those pop-up cards than regular cards (I hate saying this...but I tend to just throw those away).
Reply:once in a while i like the musical ones better though!!
Reply:Sometimes i do.. Depends on how they are. Sometimes they get preety bugging... but yea.. they are sweet.
Reply:i like blank cards that I can write a personal greeting on but pop ups are nice too! :)
Reply:Pop up cards are cool... I just like cards that are a little different. I found one for my sister... it was a flower in a pot. Like the card was flat and I signed it and put it in the envelope, but you could kind of pop it open and it was a flower in a pot. It still sits on her dresser, it's cute. (She was turning 20)

Get a card that works for the person you're getting it for! If the card has a nice meaning, I would love a pop up, or I'd take a regular card. Really, I guess it's the thought that counts in the end.
Reply:I love them...especially the Victorian like ones.

Joy to you.
Reply:depends if I see a unique one maybe that the pop out part serves a really good function for the artistic concept. Other wise to me, it seems too constructed and non intimate.
Reply:I like pop up cards once in a blue moon. If I get one too often, it gets kind of annoying.
Reply:Nah, I usually like funny cards. I think everyone does really. Either that or something that is sincere and touching.

I just think that pop up cards are kinda dumb. How many people are going to open it and say, "Oh wow!!!"? I never really put this much thought into it until now. But they are pretty lame.
Reply:I think the pop-up ones are great for kids, they really get a kick out of them. For adults I don't think it really matters much. Although on Valentines day I did buy a musical one which seemed to be a great hit.
