Have your friend buy a copy (under $20) of Artists %26amp; Graphic Designers Market, 2006. It tells very specificially which editors to send artwork to, plus names of agents who handle illustrators and artists.
Reply:The other day I bought a book about the market for illustrators, and there are other books about the matter. So far in my research it takes money to make money.
