You can go to Hallmark.com and upload your photo and then it would be on a Hallmark card.

Reply:Go to just about any photolab and you can have that service done.. Ritz Camera One Hour Photo may have them ready in an hour time permitting. You will have to pay a higher charge for such a service. There's also Shutterfly/Snapfish/winkflash where you can do everything online and have them sent to your home ! There's templates and everything you just supply the photo... good luck

try Cafepress.com...I'm not really sure on the pricing, but you can upload your drawings and have them put on anything from tee shirts to greeting cards, and can set your account to private or set up a shop with your designs. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, but it might be worth checking out. Good luck! :)

Reply:Do you guys have a Kinkos. Or maybe if you have a printing place near you like AlphaGraphics (that might just be an american chain). Really just check in the phonebook or the internet for local printing facilities. That's really the only way. It's either that or you better buy a lot of color ink for that home printer of yours ; )

I'm wondering what I need permission for. For example I have some great photos that I took at my local zoo. Am I permitted to use those since I took them on my own? Also, I want to photograph parks and landmarks to use on the cards. any issues there?

Check out the "photographers right" pdf file you can download from my first source. It was written by a lawyer and details the true legal rights you have when taking pictures. For example, anyone in public is fair game since you waive your "right to privacy" when you enter a public place. Now, if you're selling photos there could be some more issues with people, but if they're in the background it should be ok. As far as businesses, parks, landmarks, etc. that's all fair game so long as you're on private property. No one can demand your film or memory card with out a warrant (even police). Businesses cannot demand that you leave so long as you are on public property when you take your pictures. Exceptions are when you use long zooms and such to get a picture of someone who isn't in public. That's how the paparazzi get in trouble. Read the photo rights below and print a copy to carry with yourself if you are questioned in public.

another thing, you're doing business, you need to legalize that by registering your business and you need to pay taxes with that...wel just in case you wana play safe.....





you can still continue your business illegally, just don't place in the cards any evidence that you're the one making them.. like your name, or signature....

Reply:As long as it isn't a photograph of a person, u need there permission for that, then it's OK, and if there is a do not photograph sign i would imagine that u wouldn't have taken a photograph anyway so that wouldn't matter.

I want to attach my photos to blank folding Note Cards either with cut-outs for my pictures or just blank which I can then tape to or peel and stick. I will use these for gifts in a big family gathering we are having in July. I'll need just shy of 100. But I want the lowest pricing available. Then too I want to try to sell some in local shops as my photography talents improve.

I've been doing the same thing. The most cost effective method I've found is to buy good quality card paper (card "board" really) from newsagents, about 60c each, from which I can get two cards. Great colours available including metallics for 85c. Either stick photos straight on front or cut cut-outs with stanley knife and cutting mat. If you're careful enough, they look professional.

I have never tried to make mine but I would think that you can use the same stuff that is used for making gift baskets and use a hair dryer or a heat gun. I would check that out at your local hobby/craft store to see if they carry it.

When I view certain greeting cards or received emails, all I see is a rectangle with an X in the corner?

I sometimes receive attachments to emails, that when I try to view them I see a large rectangle with an "X" in the upper left hand corner. It doesn't display any picture. I experienced the same thing at the American Greeting Cards site when I tried to view a card I wanted to personalize and send
