How can I take clear pictures of greeting cards?

I am taking pictures for the cards that I am making. I am hoping to sell the cards online. I took some pictures and they came out blurry. Maybe it was the light, but I need clear pictures. I need help! Thanks.

I'm guessing that you are using a point %26amp; shoot digital camera. Try looking for the MACRO setting on it. That should give you clear close-up shots.

Reply:A digital scanner is the better choice for flat objects.
Reply:Easier way is scanning to pc, but if you still want to use your camera set it to close up (if it has that feature) it should take a clearer pic. And yes apply light enough to avoid shadows etc.
Reply:Have you got a scanner ?

I always scan my cards. They show up great.
Reply:If you have a scanner, scan directly onto your computer. Also makes them easier to e mail out as ads.
Reply:If your pictures are blurry, there could be hundreds of reasons.

Start with your eyes. Do you wear glasses?

Next your camera. Do you know how to focus it? Do you know about depth of field?

How are you processing pictures? Film? Digital?

Do you know how to use a photo adjusting software product like PhotoShop(R)?

Go to the place that sold you the camera and ask for help in learning how to take pictures. Or search the web for photo help.
Reply:Take them to your local copy center. They can scan them in and put them on a CD for you. Then you'll have them all in one place and it's easy to upload to whatever site you want to. It's pretty inexpensive and will look very professional.

Good luck! :)
Reply:Don't stand too close to them. You do need good lighting.
