What is the best way to display homemade greeting cards at a craft show,?

i don't have a card rack and can't seem to find one quick enough, show is next week. thanx

Reply:Use the vertical space in your booth. Coordinate with the show and make sure you can hang hooks off the top rods of the booth. Most will not let you pin anything to the curtains. But you can rig heavy duty wire to hang down and stagger throughout your booth. Like a S-curve hook





Using a dark fabric, drap this over a hanger and then "mount" the light colored cards on this. Do the same for a light fabric and the dark background cards. Themed fabric might work if the cards have a blank border - you don't want the fabric to compete with the design on the card.





Use either pants hangers that have the metal clips that slide. Or the wooden pants hangers that pinch the fabric.





Separate by themes (Christmas, Birthday...) And you might find easier to put aside the envelopes and then slip the bought cards together with an envelope at purchase. Unless you have decorated envelopes that match the cards.





Be flexible on your prices. Offer bundles for a better price And customers love a "sale" so be sure and put out the Halloween and past holiday cards.

Reply:if this is a small craft show, you may only have a table to put your items on or bring your own tables. For greeting cards, the best way I have seen is to use rubbermaid (or other brand) clear plastic shoe boxes. Have the cards in plastic bags that are then put in the shoe boxes lined up on the table. Have the center area free to lay out some of the cards as examples. Use Cardstock and make dividers for the different styles of cards and label them (you know, wedding, baby, get well, sympathy, etc.)

Reply:An effective card display I saw at a recent show consisted of 3 large pegboards hinged together and set up as a backdrop with one of each available card displayed in a ziplok bag and hung from s-hooks. That way, everyone could view the selection and make a decision before they even got up to the table where the duplicates were on display in decorative photo storage boxes.
