I have a lot of cards (greeting cards), what should I do with them?

I have tons of greeting cards that are sentimental, and I hate to throw them away because they are from when I got married, and when I had my baby, and so on, but I really don't know what to do with them. Does anyone have any cool ideas on ways to display them, without looking like I am an obsessive compulsive hoarder?

I have a lot of cards (greeting cards), what should I do with them?
well

its easy paste them on ur own rooms wall or somewhere u ll find that is perfect for it!!!

it usually what I do.

good luck !!
Reply:Scan them and make a collage or post them on a personal website.

Or make a collage on a large poster board using double sided tape.
Reply:Why not put the ones from your wedding in a scrapebook along with some of your wedding photos. The ones from when you had your baby I would put in their scrapebook for them to have later. It may also be very sentimental to them also.
Reply:I'd put them into a scrapbook, it would make it look nice.
Reply:Use them in photo albums near the pictures that relate to the card. You can cut out the picture, or just the handwritten note, or whatever.

Make a collage in a frame, or laminate them in groups to make placemats....
Reply:put them in a really nice scrapbook or album or whatever and keep them with your other albums. you could also get one of those big huge greeting card holders and hang them up. or maybe make a collage with all of them!
Reply:I think that you could make a room of memories and hang them up on walls and put a couple in picture frames or you could save them for when you get older as something to look back at!
Reply:just keep them in a box for now. Ten or 15 years from now they may mean more. I do not believe in hording things however for this type of thing I make an exception.
Reply:do a collage one of the wedding then the rest inorder and frame them they are a good centre piece and u can keep hording all u like a theydont take up much room on a wall have fun
Reply:You could put them in a nice photo album or you could frame a few of the more special ones and display them on a wall.

Anyone know of a good printer to print greeting cards on?

I am trying to find a good printer to print greeting cards, I have an inkjet and it smears the words inside the card, even after it has been dry for a while. But then laser printers curl up the card and leave the inside a bit yellowish and not the bright white it was before I put it in... anyone know of the perfect printer??

Reply:I really like HP, but many times it's the quality of the paper that makes a good greeting card.

TRY LOOKING ON ANYSOLDIER,COM ...I KNOW PEOPLE IN MY UNIT NOW WHO DON'T GET MAIL, IT WOULD MEAN ALOT TO THEM, ESPECIALLY BEING AWAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
Reply:I'm sure if you ask around, you'll find someone who knows of someone over in Iraq. Then you can send a bunch of letters to that person at their address, and then have them distribute the letters to the people in their squad.

I've just started a greeting card business.but when i go to shops to sell my cards, they said they have enough
This is the way to go. tell the shop owners u will put ur cards in their shelves. they dont have to pay u upfront just yet. u colect after a week.. bec u r a new business owner, u want to check on how ur cards are doing in each of the shops u placed them. so u will know where exactly they sell best. so its good to make a weekly store visit to the shops selling ur cards.

A site I've used in the past ...

Reply:Many stores don't even control their own inventory. They have a buyer to do that for them. So, to get started, you will probably have to contact a very small business or make a website for yourself. If you make the artwork or take photographs, a calendar might be easier to sell.
Reply:Get into every craft show in your area that you can. Try to offer the cards to gift and flower shops in your area, especially privately owned ones, not chain stores. Sell them at church bazaars and other community gatherings. Good luck and keep hopeful!!!

What's the best printer to print photo quality greeting cards in terms of speed, cost and quality.?

I am a photographer and sell my images digitally online. I've been considering about design, print and distribute my own photo greeting cards in local shops. What's the best printer to use for low volume (up to 1000) prints, if u know where to get supply like paper and etc that would be awesome. Thanks.

What's the best printer to print photo quality greeting cards in terms of speed, cost and quality.?
I have an HP all in one. I think that that printer falls in an affordable yet high quality price range. Many store owners and clerks also usually prefer that brand for printing photos in a high quality.

You can get printer paper and other supplies anywhere in stores such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc...

Hope that helps!

Does anyone know what the best way to get a children's book published and greeting cards also if your broke?

Hello, I have written a childrens book and have designed greeting cards, but don't know where to start. Now if I had money for whatever expense I would encounter to start no problem, but I do not. So what is t he best way to get started?

Does anyone know what the best way to get a children's book published and greeting cards also if your broke?
Unfortunately, CDB is right. Writing is not a great income for most people.

Also, it's very hard to break into the children's book market (from what I've heard--no first hand experience).

If you can afford to take the long road, I would suggest you shop around for an agent who specializes in children's books, but even that will be difficult because the competition makes it a long-shot.

Sorry I couldn't offer much encouragement.

If you had money, you could try self-publishing and market it yourself in your local area but, again, it's a long-shot and you'd stand a big chance of loosing your investment.

Sympathies,

James
Reply:If you need an income right away, find a job because even if you're an excellent writer it could take years to get published.
Reply:I know this isn't what you want to hear, but unfortunately the odds are heavily stacked against you. You have chosen the most difficult thing in the publishing business - getting a children's book published.

First of all, a publisher selects an illustrator and that illustrator makes a lot more money on the book than the author does.

Let me describe for you the current nature of the children's book market. I just finished ghostwriting eight children's books for a very major sports figure - already sold to a very major Top Two NY publisher. The first is due out in Spring. I am currently working on my 9th one for him with others to follow. This information was given to me by a Senior Editor at the publisher I write for (one of the top 2 publishers in the country) ...

This is how the children's market breaks down.

40% of children's books published today are by celebs like Madonna, Jamie Lee Curtis etc. Celebs can get anything they want published. Their names sell.

40% are written by existing, established children's authors like Eric Carle.

15-20% are reprints of children's classics like Curious George.

That leaves at best 5% for new authors and most, if any, who are selected are by adults. It is very rare for a 13 year old to make any inroads. It is very rare for ANYONE to break through the children's market.

And that percentage is being cut into by adult authors like Carl Hiaasen and Mary Higgins Clark entering the childrens' market recently. Most recently Snoop Dog started writing kids books!! HIs name sells books - yours doesn't unfortunately.

To that, add the fact that most of the large publishing companies are backlogged with children's books they have under contract but havent gotten out yet. It takes about a year for a children's book to make it out. It usually takes an artist about a month a page to illustrate. So most publishers have their production schedules for children's books filled out for the next few years.

As a result, most A list publishers aren't even reading childrens' books right now, which means agents arent either. Agents only read what they can sell.

There is very little room to break into the children's market. Only books that are extremely exceptional and have huge appeal stand a chance. Forget any holiday related books - the selling season is too short to make money.

Take a walk through any major childrens' book department and you will confirm what I am telling you. Getting a childrens' book done is almost impossible - and getting an advance for it is virtually out of the question anymore. Unless you fall into one of those categories above. I am fortunate to have the backing of a very major sports star to get me in the door with kids books. I write adult novels, but believe me I have tried with kids books before and failed for exactly the reasons I list here.

Ghostwriting has gotten me in through the back door, and now I will be able to sell some of the children's books that have my name on them. For now, someone else's name is on the cover. Someone whose name sells books - big time. Don't ask me how you can get a ghostwriting deal for a major sports star ... I really backed into this. It was a gift from Heaven really and it is a blast working with this person too!!! My mantle is now covered with sports memorabilia worth a fortune!! I love presents. It has also led to 3 other ghostwriting jobs.

That is the nature of the beast. You might get a copy of Writers Market and search for some small publishers who are reading childrens' books, but searching through the agents section, you will see that almost NO agents are reading childrens' books. Try for some small publishers that read without going through an agent. Expect a lot of rejection. Develop a really thick skin and learn to advocate for yourself.

There is one shot you have. As you are searching through that book department, look for something that isn't there. Research. Some kind of a topic nobody has written about. It would be something that teaches a lesson to kids in a fictional way, but that hasn't been done before. Believe me - there are topics. I found one recently. I did a teleconference with the publisher I work with and he was thrilled. He wants te book yesterday. No such book exists. If you can find a topic nobody has covered before and write an exceptional book. you have a shot. Jamie Lee Curtis has been very successful with that.

Always remember that before you send anything to anyone, check them out. Preditors and Editors, Absolute Write Water Cooler's Bewares and Background Checks, Writers Weekly.com and Writers Wall are all great sources and totally free - although if they help you, it is nice to contribute a donation. Someone has to pay for running the sites. If you do not see information on the publisher or agent in question, write to Dave K at Preditors and Editors, Victoria Strauss or James Macdonald at Absolute Write or Angela Hoy at Writers Weekly. They are happy to pass along any info they have to help you.

Also remember that the top ten publishing houses like the ones the answerer mentioned above do not deal directly with authors. They only deal with agents. If you send anything to them directly that is unsolicited (meaning they did not ask you to send it to them) it will get tossed into the slush room, a form rejection letter will get mailed to you and your material will be destroyed. They only deal with A List agents.

As for self publishing it with someplace like Lulu - it will get you nowhere. Self published books dont make it to bookstores. It is a financial black hole to self publish. I recently read about a woman who refinanced her house and spent over 70 thousand dollars publishing and promoting her children's book. She has recouped less than 10% of her money and is in danger of losing her home.

The newest news in the world of self publishing is that Amazon is refusing to sell any books not self published by Book Surge - which they own. They are removing people's BUY buttons. That just made selling self published books 5 times as hard. Publishers are fighting it with the government but I fear they will lose. Amazon is a company and has the right to sell whatever it wants.

Childrens' books are impulse buys. What is out on the tables for kids to see is what sells. Kids don't shop at websites for things like books. They have to hold them in their hand and nag Mom to buy it. The only way to achieve that is through a good traditional publisher. Self publishing will do nothing for you but take money.

I have starred a lot of great Q and A regarding writing on my profile. You can access it and print out the pages. Start a notebook you can refer to. There s a lot of good information here and I add more as I see good ones. I am doing it to help others. Feel free to use it. Add me as a fan and get the regular updates. Keep writing. Remember you have to need to grow a hide as thick as a herd of elephants. There will be rejection letters. That is inevitable. Gone With the Wind was rejected 37 times. Never forget that.

As for greeting cards, it also is a tough nut to crack, but you can contact some companies and inquire. If you are broke, I would suggest that you get a regular job for now. Nothing happens quickly in the publishing industry. It could take years and years to make a sale.

Just keep writing. Be exceptional!! Pax-C

Which is the best site for free greeting cards?

Which is the best site for free greeting cards?
I send a lot of E-cards every month therefore I ended up paying for the Hallmark service, but when my list of clients was small enough to manage manually, I used bluemountain.com. Not all the cards are free, but the ones that are free are better than any other free service. Now, think about the amount of money you are going to save by not having to put a stamp on each card, and balance it out with a full year subscription with the best of the best... Hallmark! By the way they also have a few free ones.

How do you feel about greeting cards?

For birthdays and holidays and such? I rarely buy them for people. The only exception is Christmas cards. The reason being is that they are usually sappy rhetoric that people just slap their name at the bottom and underline a couple key words. They are meaningless. Especially for young children. I mean they can't even read yet but everyone always buys them birthday cards! Why?

Then I have the task of deciding when is the appropriate time to throw them away. There is no personal sentiment or attachment but I feel guilty throwing them away as soon as I read them.

This sounds like a bunch of sour grapes and I really don't waste that much of my energy on the matter but still.... can anyone tell me what the deal is with greeting cards? I just don't get it, except that they are a convenient replacement for a more personal, yet time consuming, hand written note.

How do you feel about greeting cards?
I think you've hit the nail on the head. Some cards, if you spend the time to search for ther right one, can be meaninful, especially if you add your own personal note inside. But for the most part I find them a waste of time and paper too. For christmas, I usually just get those little stick on cards that say "To" and "From" on them and keep it at that. For the people really close to me, i'll either make a card or buy one and write a nice note inside.

For birthdays etc I have stopped doing that unless it's somebody I am close to. Personally, I just throw out every card I get right after the person leaves, unless it's a meaningful card from someone close to me. I used to save them, but then the pile got so big and for no reason. What am I to do with them?? They eventually get thrown out anyways, so I figure better sooner than later and save myself the mess.
Reply:You are absolutely right. I don't like sending cards to kids under 14. Cards are expensive and I don't see why people won't send e-cards more. E-cards are not that impersonal and they are free. The receiver can keep them for a few months and don't have to feel guilty thrashing them unlike the physical one.
Reply:I love them! They are a cheap and simple way to let people know you are thinking of them, that you care. Unlike a text or a phone call, they can keep it up for as long as they want. Many of them are really beautiful, and you can always buy blank cards so you can write your own message (that's what I do). Cards that people gave me as a child, my parents put them away until I was old enough to read them.

So what do you do instead? Do you send people a time-consuming personal handwritten note, or do you just ignore them on their birthdays, anniversaries and special days?
Reply:Sometimes, i get like A hundred "just Because Cards" and pick a random person out of the phone book, and send them all to that person.
Reply:Greeting cards mean so very much to me. I send greeting cards all the time and look for a long time to get the right verse to certain people. Sometimes you can't visit that person, so a card means you are thinking of them. If people take the time to send a card, I display them on my wall.
Reply:I buy Birthday and Christmas cards. My parents appreciate it because I try to look for a card that best describes our relationship and they really like that. I have brothers who will go out and pick up the first card they see which does not describe their relationship at all. You can tell there is no thought behind their choice.

Little children starting around, probably the age of 4, really start to appreciate the cards. My daughter received an Easter card this year and she looks at it over and over again.
Reply:huge waste of money unless the card really says something.. i just hate getting cards that say nothing of importance..
Reply:Waste of money
Reply:The price has gone up to buy greeting cards. :( But to answer your question...

I think greeting cards have the right words to say when it comes to someone celebrating their 5th birthday, who lost a parent or grandparent, or recovering from an illness. After all, I couldn't have said those messages any better myself They have meaningful poetry/phrases and illustrations.

It's perfectly fine not to give a greeting card. After all, after it has been read, will it be saved or tossed?
Reply:I adore greeting cards, and anyone who knows me knows that I take a great deal of time choosing just the right card for any occasion. I'm sorry you feel that they are full of sap and sentiment, but I guess you're just not a "Kodak moment" kind of person; I am.

The words written on the cards I select are usually the same "meaningless" stuff you're talking about, but they are the way I feel about my loved ones. I truly do feel they give me support, strength, guidance, and unending love, and for that, I am always going to be very thankful. I guess my love is what you would call "sappy." I'm glad my loved ones don't think the same way as you.

And when I underline those key words at the bottom or somewhere in the text, I'm giving them extra emphasis. I am not inviting the recipient to ignore the rest of the card.
Reply:It is a small inexpensive way of saying i;m thinking of you. That's all.
Reply:I personally think they're a waste of money. If I know someone will really really appreciate one, I'll buy them one. But I never feel obligated to buy them for people.
Reply:well me, i buy them, and when its time to sign them, i just add a whole new greeting card of something that i want to say..

How does one go about submitting drawings for greeting cards? For free or for pay?

My friend likes to draw all kinds of things and would like to eventually sell his work to greeting card companies. How can he get started in this business?

How does one go about submitting drawings for greeting cards? For free or for pay?
Have your friend buy a copy (under $20) of Artists %26amp; Graphic Designers Market, 2006. It tells very specificially which editors to send artwork to, plus names of agents who handle illustrators and artists.
Reply:The other day I bought a book about the market for illustrators, and there are other books about the matter. So far in my research it takes money to make money.

Does anyone know how to get started doing greeting cards for extra money?

I would also like to know how to get hired by greeting card companies to sell my thoughts or photos....thanks for any help in advance.

Does anyone know how to get started doing greeting cards for extra money?
The trouble with card making now is that there are loads of people doing it. I started a small business and despite hard work and a talent it flopped! If you can amke a few to sell to family and friends then OK but dont expect to make a lot of money out of it.
Reply:my mother and aunt both sell for different greeting card/scrapbooking companies. Stampin' Up! and Creative Memories, both very good! let me know if you want a catalog or something...or you could just search those companies in Yahoo's awesome search engine!
Reply:I do this... I have a small kids paper making kit make the cards.. and do my own photos and my own art work .. and sell say 5 for 10 bucks at the craft fairs and farmers market.. BUt This is a way to do it on your own. I also want to do what you are doing. IN the artists market magazine there is a list of the greeting card companies... that free lance your work... This magazine is a listing of the companies and how and what is going on inthe industry and whats new ... and what I read is that sometimes making your own line .. they will buy it. so its Artist market magazine. write and ask the company's how to go about having your cards looked at and I guess you go on fromthere.

Where on Yahoo can I find the e-greeting cards and the text messaging?

I used to send e-greeting cards, but I do not see them on yahoo anymore. Also, there used to be someplace where I could send text messages and type in my phone # and the other person's phone number.

Does yahoo no longer use these services?

Does anyone know how to make books out of greeting cards?

I'm 50. My made used to make books from old greeting cards. She used to give them to hospitals. The only vague memory I have is that they were sewn on fabric ... They were great because you could throw them away. I collect used greeting cards, and I make things, but nothing looks like what I remember Mom doing ....

Where can I find a wide variety of greeting cards?

I'm trying to find a cute and great greeting card for a special someone but can't seem to find it. I've tried yahoo, hallmark, and several other sites where I keep getting tons of pop-ups. What other good sites can I search in? Thank in advance.

Where can I find a wide variety of greeting cards?
are you looking to make or purchase?

if you are making, then take a look at the following websites for ideas
Reply:Funny you mentioned the Hallmark Web site as having a lot of pop ups, it's one of those sites that I never come across any pop ups when I visit it. Are you sure that your computer is not infected with spyware or something? Do you use a pop up blocker? If not, you should turn Internet Explorer's on, it's free to use.

Back to the question at hand, you did not say whether you were looking to purchase a card or make a card. If you are looking to purchase a card, like a traditional greeting card, then your best bet is a traditional brick and mortar store: Wal Mart, Target, Hallmark, Family Christian, Longs Drugs, Rite Aid, Walgreens, just about any grocery store, card store, wrapping paper store, party supply store, discount store, dollar store, or drug store.

If you are looking for a card that you can print out, and it's pre-made, I highly recommend American Greetings. They have some cards under their printables that are free to print, the rest, they charge a yearly membership fee to access. If you send a lot of cards, the membership fee is very much worth the cost. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, American Greetings, Hallmark, and a few other companies make greeting card software that can be purchased at electronics stores, computer stores, discount stores (such as WalMart), and online. These greeting card software programs allow you to customize the cards for each individual, change the text, and offer a wide variety of other projects including t-shirts, business cards, CD labels, and much more, depending on the brand of software that you buy.

Finally, if you are looking to send an e-card, via e-mail, also known as an electronic card, then I would like to recommend the following Web sites, which are my favorites:

www.123greetings.com/

www.free-e-cards-online.com/

www.hallmark.com/

www.greetingsnecards.com/

www.dayspring.com/ecards/ (religious)

www.christianet.com/christianecards/ (religious)

www.yahoo.americangreetings.com/

http://www.amazon.com/gp/ecards/homepage

American Greetings also offers e-cards, some of which are free, and some of which require a yearly membership fee to send (but not to receive).

Hope you find a card that meets your needs!

Recommendations on creating greeting cards from digital photos?

About once a year at this time, we snap a few photos of our kids and put them into a walmart.com greeting card generator. It shows a scene, a few photos, and some text saying "Merry Christmas!".

The choices for these cards are usually poor, and I'd really like to design my own (the easy way, using existing images, etc.)

What software is out there that will allow me to do this. Preferably I'd like something freely available like The Gimp

Thanks!

Recommendations on creating greeting cards from digital photos?
I make mine in Photoshop. Any image program which allows you to make a blank template should work. You simply size the template to the size of your cart and start designing. The carts you can find in any home office supply store.

Michael's Craft Stores. It is a chain. I buy them there. I make my own cards by buying blank ones with envelopes. I watercolor them; mostly with floral designs. I wish you much success. Grams

Why do I get so stressed out over writing stuff on greeting cards?

I was taught to always add a few personal words to the text, but I just find it hard to do. I always tense up and make a mistake just saying the most benign cliche thing. Then I have to toss out the dumb $4.95 card. Errrr, what is it about dumb greeting cards?

Why do I get so stressed out over writing stuff on greeting cards?
All writers are tense try this:

1) Write what you want on a scrap paper first.

2) Get a book of quotes and highlight ones that are great, quote the author with the author's name then your own.

3) Work up a standard "personal" message for things like birthday's etc. Try minor variations so it is not always the same.

4) Just sign your name with something like "Enjoy your birthday." "Missing you" "You are in my thoughts, take care." that is personal without being overly wordy.
Reply:Yeah I know what you mean, unless it's a super important card I just keep it really simple though.

Nothing wrong with best wishes, happy birthday, lots of love, get well soon, congratulations etc. You don't need to be a master wordsmith with cards the whole point is simply to let someone know you care.
Reply:Me too. Send ecards.
Reply:Keep it simple, and if you know the

person it's easy.

What do you do with old Greeting cards?

My husband insists on saving greeting cards from the past 15 years. I live in a condo and don't have the space for every valentine, birthday, etc, etc., I receive. He thinks they are memories - I think it's trash. What do you think?

What do you do with old Greeting cards?
i think some are trash i can not throw away the cards my children gives me.
Reply:I keep them for a little while, maybe a month or so, then I throw them away. My husband also believes in not throwing things that I consider "trash" away. It gets very frustrating sometimes. Throw them away when he's not looking, he'll never miss them.
Reply:trash
Reply:trash... I keep the sweet ones, or the memorable ones, but i trash the ones ppl bought in five seconds at the closest Walmart
Reply:i think you could make a scrapbook from the past 15 years.and keep the present gift cards.or put them with the previos ones.and put the years on.
Reply:trash keep only the few that are realy special like from deceased relatives
Reply:save them
Reply:I keep all mine in a small filing folder I bought at Wal-Mart...then just store that away with other important documents.
Reply:I throw lots of mine out, but I would never have the audacity to tell someone else he or she should throw away something he or she values. If he does not want it, he will throw it out. If you want to be crafty, you can cover a box that holds your Christmas decorations with cut-outs from the Christmas cards. You or your husband can cut out some of the favorite pictures, put glitter or fake snow on the pictures, laminate, or shellac the pictures and hang those on the tree. Or decopauge cut-outs from the cards onto ornaments. Maybe make some magnets from the cut-out cards. That way, you will save some space but still have the memory of the card. And you will be displaying your memories rather than piling them in a box where you never look at them. I had a teacher who brought the class all of her old cards and she had us cut out the pictures, and arrange the pictures on wood plaques for the walls. Some of the arrangements looked surprisingly nice.

Reply:throw em out an don't let the person who gave it to u see
Reply:why not make a scrap book and use some of them/do something artsy

and keep some and get rid of some

then its a win win situation
Reply:My grandmother is a card hoarder too! I tend to be, but I move so often I trash them.

Does he ever actually go back and look at them? If so, I guess they should stay around, if not: trash 'em and tell him he's being silly.
Reply:Trash, but I would keep the more memorable ones to appease him. Or just tell him a certain amount for him to pick out, and trash the rest.
Reply:I also keep my cards as mementos of the people, and I look back at them from time to time.

I store them in a box and stack things on top of my mementos box.

I don't keep everyone's, but just the few close people
Reply:If he wants to save them, u can do what my mom did. She got a scrap book and scrap booked all the cards for safe keeping and is much more organized and doesn't take much room at all..
Reply:trash
Reply:To me they are memories. I only keep the ones my beau gives to me. As a matter of fact I put them out during that tiem of the year, then put it away in a box that is specific to just greeting cards.

If you think they are trash then throw them at, I mean if it doesn't mean anything to you why keep it?

I need a thank you message for a greeting cards. Any suggestion?

I need a thank you message to put in a greeting cards for all my teachers and professor. I need something inspirational that says that I appreciate everything they have done for me and that I’ll remember everything they have taught me as I go in real world…..…..in a better wording obviously!

I need a thank you message for a greeting cards. Any suggestion?
I hope the following lines give you an idea, for a better Card,

Appreciate!

For everything

You said and done

You beared and run

You created and had fun

Thank you Note:

Thank you for turning the hard puzzles into soft dazzling drills. I am sure that in the long term, all the seeds of knowledge will turn ripe and every single part will send you the gracious prayers for the hard work you fosterd.
Reply:I would start with a quote that is pertainant to the professor/teacher. Something like:

"The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others." ~~Solomon Ibn Gabriol~~

Then continue one with a brief "Thank you for everything you have given me, including the opportunity to grow into a person I can be proud of."

How to print my sons photo on greeting cards, calender, magazine or upload on some babies sites?
a good website

A site I've used in the past ...

http://www.safelinked.info/go.php?link=f...

Hope that helps.
Reply:I do this all the time. First you must have a digital camera. Next, to upload them is easy. Usually, a wire is attached from your camera to your computer at a USB port. The pictures will upload and you will be prompted. Follow the simple prompt instructions (click "next"...until "finished". ) Once they are in your computer as JPGs, then you can do anything with them. (Your computer will automatically offer to place these photos in your pictures folder when you are uploading them). You can copy and paste them on a greeting card with your greeting card program, e-mail them or load them up on the web site of your choice. ...Or use them with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or another easier photo program to edit them (i.e. size, crop, adjust color,etc.). Some baby websites are: www.babyjellybeans.com, www.totsites.com and www.BabyChapters.com. I am sure there are many others as well. If you have any other photo or graphic design questions, please feel free to e-mail me. Hope this helps.
